Submission Type: P

1. Your registered Boat Name: Duffy

2. Race Day: 1

3, Group (colour): RED

4. Race (number) 3

5. Time (in Replay): 13:36

6. Rule(s) applicable:18.3.

7. Boat(s) involved: Venhobel, TheoGre, Steviekouris, JohnPap and Duffy

8. Description: Venhobel, TheoGre and JohnPap are approaching wind ward mark on port tack and has to tack to starboard to pass the mark on their port side.
Inside the zone JohnPap, TheoGre and Venhobel tack to starboard (maybe Venhobel never finish his tacking) and Duffy and Steviekouris to starboard tack has to luff up over closed haul to aviod collision with JohnPap, TheoPap and Venhobel.
I protested against JohanPap and TheoGre for breaking rule 18.3., but I did not at that moment see Venhobel most close to the mark also trying to tack to starboard.

9. Print Screen attached (required fo a manual protest): Yes - MLS 13-3

10. Replay attached (recommended): Yes - MLS 13-3 Knowing Me, Knowing You.Replay.Gbx

Facts:
TheoGre and Venhobel approaching the mark on port layline, Venhobel to windward.
JohnPap also on port, clear ahead of the other two.
Duffy and Steviekouris on starboard layline, Stevie to leeward.
JohnPap pass head to wind outside the zone and tacks to starboard ahead of Duffy and Stevie, when Theo was two boats lengths from Stevie.
Theo continues straight until he is on the layline inside the zone.
Theo luffs and pass head to wind.
Before Theo completes his tack, Johnpap and Venhobel have to change course to avoid contact.
The mast of Johnpap and Theo hit.

Conclusion:
TheoGre did not keep clear of Johnpap and Venhobel and caused Johnpap to luff above close hauled.
TheoGre broke rule 13 and rule 18.3.
TheoGre to be scored DSQ in the race.
