Dear PC I would submit to you attention what happened :
Race 2 (RC44) The following may be useful to let me know (and to other skippers) regarding the possibility to make an autopen after having asked and obtained a pen cancellation.
At about 21'25" Water Gipsy ask for a cancellation of a 13 accepted by Albervita.
At about 24' 29" Water Gipsy wrote "360 done".
Sy but I didnt find the case in the Rules. So the ISAF applies ?

Hi Alberto,

The Racing Rules of Sailing applies for the MLS, also when a boat is taking a penalty turn.
In this case, the boat has cancelled a penalty, and it is mandatory to submit a penalty explanation according to MLS Rule 3.2.3.
If no explanation is submitted, then the boat will be DSQ'ed.
If an explanation is submitted and the PC finds that the boat broke a rule, but the turn was not according to RRS 44.2, then the boat will be DSQ'ed.
If an explanation is submitted and the PC finds that the boat did not break a rule, then the boat will not be DSQ'ed even if she didn't comply with RRS 44.2.

PS! It doesn't make a difference if you write 360 done or not.
