8.Description: Me on starboard, Frenito on port, sailing downwind with more than 20 knots boat speed. Frenito gybes to close, and I have to bear away to avoid risking contact. We were overlapped all the time, so I have right of way trough the entire situation, which means rule 15 does not apply. When I bear away, the seperation between my bow and his leeward side is 1/4 boat width. Any luff from me in this position would result in immediate contact, which means Frenito is not keeping clear by definition.
