8. Description: sam was sailing your last upwind on starboard. Damian still was sailing on downwind on starboard. In this situation my boat is leeward and damian is windward. So damian shall keep clear of sam. A collision happens and damian break rule 11, consequently sam’s boat was brake to zero. I think maybe a distraction by damian so dont think he breaks the rule 2, but my last upwind it was damaged. For this reason i ask
analysis of the facts and redress.

To receive redress there are two basic conditions to be met:
- a boat’s score or place made significantly worse
- through no fault of her own
Neither of the conditions are met...
- Sam had the same position in the race when he got back to speed, as he had when he rounded the bottom mark (ahead of Balder)
- Sam could have avoided contact, but didn't even try
Decision :

> No further action
