8. Description: Valodea fetching Excalibur just before the mark, establishing inside overlap. Due to giving room to Jonte and Orione, Valodea had to luff a bit. Excalibur followed correctly, and there was lot of room between the boats.

Facts just before rounding the mark :

Excalibur is leeward of Valodea, Valodea is leeward of Orione, Orione is leeward of Jonte

Valodea was behind Excalibur after previous mark, so he can't luff Exalibur (RRS17.1)
But Valodea must keep clear of Jonte and Orione to round the mark (RRS18)

Decision :
RRS17.1 given by Nadeo is incorrect
