7. Description: I was 0.5 boat lengths ahead of G.Mos when I tacked around the mark. G.Mos luffed inside me and hit my stern. If he did not luff, he would have passed clearly behind. G.mos luffed 24 degrees before we crashed. Imo rule 16.1 was broken. I request redress because G.Mos did not cancel my penalty. I was in safe 7th place, so I think 7 points is a proper redress.

Facts:
When Euphoria passed head to wind, Gmos started luffing.

Gmos did not cancel the penalty.
euphoria was in 7th position at the last mark, 13 seconds ahead of Jepson who finished in 7th.

Conclusion:
Gmos, the right of way boat, while changing course failed to give room to Euphoria to keep clear and broke 16.1.
euphoria entitled to redress.

Decision:
Gmos DSQ.
Redress granted. Euphoria shall be scored in Race 1 points for the 7 place.
